Love Typo’s and Cool Chariman

Dr. Eric Schmidt’s Business Card [1]

Fortune magazine recently pointed to a typo on Eric Schmidt’s business card; gotta admit, makes you feel a whole lot better if you see a $144 billion company muck it up.

Possible reasons for the typo’s as suggested by Fortune:

“The name “Google” actually comes from “googol” – intentional misspellings are part of Google’s culture.”

“An upside down U.S flag is a distress signal.  Similarly, a business card with two letters reversed is code for “Help, I’m in trouble.”

“It’s rumored Google has been working on a form of communication called “Googlish,” …it has it’s own grammar, vocabulary and spelling rules, such as I before R except after A.”

But, what if……

What if the word “chari” is a descendent of the word “cari” etymologically speaking?

What if “cari” means “find” in Bahasa Malaysia (Malaysia’s national language)?

What if www.cari.com.my [2] is Malaysia’s main search engine?

It would make Mr. Schmidt is the coolest Chariman of all.

;-)
