I can't believe the difference you've made by rewriting that opening section. It has given me a lot to chew over and after making the same mistake (probably more seriously) with the post I wrote after this one, I'll be doing my best to improve my leads. Up to this point, my writing life has been centred around fiction and my personal blog so switching gears to a style more appropriate for Blogging Personal is a steep learning curve. It's good to know that I'm on the right path and it's great to have some specific goals to aim towards.
