100+ Resources for Web Developers
Update #1 - March 14, 2008
There is some amazing stuff out there on the Web–resources, tools, tricks, and tips. Problem is, as a Web developer, you spend so much of your time just keeping up with new technologies - learning, playing – and this doesn’t leave much time to go hunting for the latest and greatest tool, or for a better way of doing things.
So we’ve put together a list of over 100 resources to help make your life as a developer easier; where to find snippets of code, sites that automate processes, cheat sheets, lessons, useful tools and a couple of silly videos to give your brain a break if you make it through to the end. Please enjoy!

This is a great list for Web Developers! No doubt, most of them are definitely written for PHP web developers, but I do find a lot more interesting tools, such as finding if your site is banned by Google, etc.
Once again, great list. I’ll definitely have it bookmarked and access it at a later time when I need to revamp my site(s).

Hello everyone, I am Satt from Canada, here I am having trouble with my web developer, they created my site, altough it look very nice, its not a good site, for instance if you look at my site http://www.divineenergycollection.com you will notice there is almost no link to other pages, so I cannot sell additional products, referancing from one to the other, and yes I paid over $5000.00 for this, and even now there is some much problems with this site and when I ask for the problem to be resolve they are asking for $35.00 and hour to resolve these problems.
Is there anyone who can help me put my site in a good way for a resonable price?
Also i would like to earn how to use Dreamweaver?
Thank you

tits!
I love this list, it’s staying in my bookmarks forever. And I just thought I could add a site for the statistics, http://getclicky.com It’s really awesome and has a ton of features, And it even has a page before you sign up that compares itself with some of the other big statistics websites. The one thing I love about it is the LIve view. It actively (with ajax i’m assuming) updates the live page with hits to your site. You can click on IP’s and name them, so you can name yourself or your friends. You can also set it up so it doesn’t count hits from your computer (which I’m assuming most stats can do, but this one does it with cookies, which is kind of annoying, but useful if you work on different computers, or at a friends house)
Again thanks for this great list!
Id hit it

MEDIA MAX IS FRAUDULENT!!!
Beware anyone who attempts to sign up to Media Max, as recommended here in the file storage section. They are a SCAM, and an online petition has been started to try and raise awareness about this.
Their initial storage is free, but once you sign up they take your money and you don’t get any service.
I paid $50.00, have never been able to upload a file, and have not had a response to any of the 32 emails I’ve sent them in the past year.
There are also countless reports of them holding the files of ‘free’ account holders hostage (ie. not making them available for download until they become paying members).
Save yourself the trouble and spend the money elsewhere- if you want confirmation about anything I’m saying, just Google ‘Media Max scam’ and you’ll be greeted with the proof.
P.S. Thanks for the rest of the list- it’s awesome!
Thanks for the great list!
For marketers, steer clear of
123 Submit Pro!!!
Website Pros
All three SEO companies are ripp offs!
They charge you outstanding fees and enter your website URL into all of the free directories they can get their hands on. Their service at 123 Website Submit Pro was really lousy. They even stopped their service after I complained, now I’m out of money:(
i’ve watched that parody of the Mac… experience for years. the most amusing thing is that he is describing the windows experience and couching it in “mac.” every time it gets recycled i see windows people get all puffy and they don’t realize the joke was on them.
My biggest complaint about the post is that it took me about 5 minutes before i would even scroll down to read
Very nice list of resources though!
